Recklessly Loved

My name is Jeremy Smith, and I am currently the Teaching Pastor at Niceville UMC in Niceville, FL (right across the bay from Destin!).  I
was born in Port Arthur, TX, where I lived until High School, when my family moved to Tuscaloosa, AL. I attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a B.S. in Marketing in 2003 and received a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2007. Prior to coming to Niceville UMC, I've served three churches since receiving my call to ministry in 2001: Middle School Minister at St. Mark UMC in Northport, AL, Youth Minister at Rosedale Baptist Church in Richmond, KY, and as the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at St. James UMC until July 2010.

I love God passionately and my ministry is focused around serving God's people through preaching and teaching, transforming the local community in the name of Jesus through engaging the most marginalized, worshipping God with everything, and empowering God’s people to be the People of God everywhere they find themselves. As the Teaching Pastor at Niceville UMC, I am primarily involved in preaching, evangelism, and worship & design.

I've been married to Christy, a CPA, since December 2003, and together we have two sons, Aidan & Maddox.
